With the La Gacilly-Baden Photo Festival, Baden bei Wien will once again become a city of images that visitors can explore on foot. From 12 June to 11 October 2026, around 1,500 large-format photographs will transform the spa town into an impressive open-air gallery. Under the motto “SO BRITISH!”, the ninth edition of the festival focuses on extraordinary moments of everyday life, moving life situations and the relationship between people and the environment.
Along a roughly 7-kilometre-long route through gardens and the town, 30 to 35 exhibitions will guide visitors through Baden’s most beautiful spots. On display will be works by renowned photographers such as Martin Parr, Tony Ray-Jones, Terry O’Neill, Anna Atkins, Gina Soden and many other artists.
And because this year’s festival motto “SO BRITISH!” is not just for the eyes but also for the palate, we’re serving up fish and chips on our snack menu to match. Perfect for anyone who wants to continue their journey in style after a stroll through the city of images.
