Our commitment to the environment and sustainability is evident in a number of areas, which we would like to briefly outline here:
Managing resources responsibly & conserving them
For us, sustainability begins right at the purchasing stage: by carefully selecting our partners and products, we avoid waste from the outset. Any waste that is nevertheless produced is carefully sorted and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. We also prioritise reuse over disposal – for example, by refurbishing old furniture and actively incorporating materials from existing stock into our interiors.
Cleanliness & Responsibility
We clean with particular care, using eco-friendly products and sparing amounts. Most of our bed linen and table linen is laundered at an Austrian facility with environmental certification.
We also put the principle of sustainability into practice in the way we furnish our rooms: instead of a minibar, we offer a well-stocked self-service night bar in our fireplace lounge. However, if you would prefer a fridge, one is available in some rooms on request.
Sustainable enjoyment & relaxation
When it comes to our food, we consciously prioritise regional, seasonal and organic produce.
Our leisure and relaxation packages are also designed with nature and the environment in mind, so that your break benefits not only you but also the environment.
Our own solar panel system covers around 10 per cent of our electricity needs, and energy-efficient air-conditioning units can be controlled individually and as required – for noticeable comfort with lower energy consumption.
Green Mobility
We’d also like to encourage you to ‘travel green’: anyone travelling by public transport will receive a small welcome gift from us as a token of our appreciation.
We also warmly welcome e-mobility: four 11 kW charging points are available free of charge for our overnight guests, and there is also an e-bike charging point for anyone who would like to explore the Vienna Woods on the numerous cycle paths.
